01 Add Portseido in Client Portal

02 Paste your three IDs

How can I connect Interactive Brokers to Portseido?

There are two ways. Broker Connection links your account once, in IBKR under Third-Party Reports, and new trades then arrive on their own each business day. File upload works without connecting anything: export an Activity Flex Query XML from IBKR and drop it into Portseido whenever you want. Most people use both, since a file fills in the history a connection cannot.

Does connecting import my past trades?

No. Broker Connection starts on the day you set it up. To see your full history, upload one Activity Flex Query XML and Portseido merges it with the synced data.

Is my Interactive Brokers data safe?

Yes. IBKR sends Portseido a read-only report. We never see your IBKR username or password, and we can never place a trade or move money. You can remove Portseido under Third-Party Reports at any time, and delete your Portseido data in one click.

How often does my data update?

A connected account receives new IBKR data each business day. Without a connection, you'll need to upload a Flex Query file yourself — once a month is usually enough. Prices update daily either way.

How are currency conversions handled?

Portseido automatically tracks the foreign-exchange effect on your holdings and consolidates everything into the base currency you choose, so your total return is consistent across markets.
